Coronavirus Update - Residential Repairs & Maintenance Protocols

In light of the developing situation and latest Government advice we have been reviewing how best we manage and deliver our ongoing responsibilities whilst prioritising safety for all our residents, staff and sub-contractors.

With immediate effect and until further notice we think it prudent to only access properties for essential or emergency works - for the avoidance of doubt this includes the following:

  • Water leaks

  • Window and door issues including essential carpentry

  • Sanitary plumbing

  • Electrical work

  • Health and safety compliance work (boiler servicing and chimney flue sweeping)

  • Fire safety works

  • Heating and hot water

Please continue to report wants of repair in the same ways as before either:

  1. By telephoning the Estate Office reception desk on 01273 858224

  2. Via e-mail to our dedicated address repairs@glynde.co.uk

  3. Or using WhatsApp to number 07834 379142

If works deemed not to be essential or of an emergency nature are reported to us we will continue to log them but please be aware that they will not be actioned until such time as the Government and medical advice permits us to relax our protocols.

Wherever necessary we intend on progressing external works if this does not involve our staff or sub-contractors coming into close contact with residents and compromising the Governments recommended social distancing measures.

If you report an essential or emergency repair please make it clear if you or anyone in your household have:

  • a new continuous cough

  • a temperature of 37.8°C or above

  • are self-isolating

As and when our staff and contractors require access they will follow guidelines set out by the Government/Occupational Health advisory teams that will include ensuring that you are not in the same room and that surfaces are cleaned down with anti-bacterial wipes after any necessary works have been completed.
